Demons open season in style with win

Playing in front of the home crowd to open the season, the Williamstown boys' basketball team understood the importance of getting off to a good start and setting the tone for the rest of the year. And the Demons delievered with an impressive 75-52 win over visiting Eminence.
Sarcione paces way for Demons in victory

Looking for another scoring option to compliment one of the best guard combos in the 8th Region, Williamstown Coach Roger Harden may have found it on Tuesday. Junior center Carter Sarcione exploded for 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way for Williamstown in the 77-53 win.
JV Demons finish strong in win over Bears

Finishing strong, the Williamstown Junior Varsity Demons outscored their opponents 19-11 over the final six minutes for a 45-38 win over Bracken Co. on Monday. Eight players contributed points in the victory, led by Chase Good with a game-high 14, which included eight in the second quarter.
Demons get back in win column vs Dayton

Connecting on 12 shots from 3-point range and putting up the third most points they have scored this season, the Williamstown Demons got back into the win column on Friday with a 77-62 victory over Dayton. Williamstown had four players reach double digits in the win.
Improvements obvious for WHS Demons

Signs of improvement are not always visible in won-loss records. This is certainly true for the WHS Demons. While the wins do not match the effort or performance, obvious improvements are being made. Evidence of such can be found in the Demons' four most recent games.

Model pulls away late versus Demons

Leading by just five at the half, the Williamstown Demons exploded for 48 second-half points in an impressive 87-49 win over Dayton. The 87 points are the most for the Demons since the 2009 season, with the 38-point margin of victory the second largest for the program over the same span.

Chase Good's 16 leads JV Demons to win

Paced by Chase Good's 16 points, three players scored in double digits to lead the Williamstown Demons to a dominating 58-24 win over Covington Latin in junior varsity action. Brothers Brady and Bryce Montgomery also reached double digits, with Brady hitting for 13 and Bryce 10.

Playing in front of the home crowd for the first time this season, the Williamstown Demons put on an offensive display that the hometown fans had not witness in many years, scoring the most points for the program in nearly six years in an 86-54 win, the second larest margin of victory since 2009.

With suitors from as far west as Arizona and as far east as Florida and Philadelphia, Williamstown’s David Jump had plenty of options when choosing where to continue his basketball career. But in the end he followed his heart and chose to stay close to home at St. Catharine College.
