Leading by just five at the half, the Williamstown Demons exploded for 48 second-half points in an impressive 87-49 road win over the Dayton Greendevils on Friday.

 

The 87 points are the most for the Demons since the 2009 season, with the 38-point margin of victory the second largest for the program over the same span.

 

Guards Brennan Stanley and Jon Jump led the way for Williamstown with a combined 66 points, 17 more than the entire Dayton team.

Guard duo helps Demons score most points since 2009

Freshman point guard Brennan Stanley scored 34 points, including 19 in the second half, while hitting four 3-pointers.

Sophomore shooting guard Jon Jump poured in 32 points, hitting six 3-pointers, in the Williamstown victory.

Stanley scored a game-high 34 points, including three 3-pointers, while also hitting 9-of-10 from the free throw line. He was especially hot in the second half when he scored 19 points.

 

Jump finished with 32 points, doing most of his damage in the first half with 18, including four 3-pointers. He hit a total of six 3-pointers in the contest.

 

Chris Parson and Brady Montgomery were next for the winners with six points each. Brady scored all six of his points in the fourth quarter, including a 3-pointer. Parsons scored four in the first quarter to help the Demons build an early advantage.

 

Dustin Smith, Harold Fernandez, Cameron Varner and Landon Hare all scored two apiece for Williamstown, with Derek Cummins rounding out the Demons' scoring with one.

 

Williamstown now stands at 2-2 going into Saturday's match-up against Berea High School at Richmond Model. Game time is scheduled for noon.
