Dominating win propels WHS ladies to 3-0
Sunday, December 6
Two players recorded double-doubles and three others scored in double digits to lead the Williamstown Lady Demons to a dominating 81-42 win over Ludlow in the J.T. Mulligan Classic at Lloyd Memorial High School on Saturday. The win improves Williamstown's record to 3-0 on the season.
Lady Demons celebrate historical night

Thursday, December 3, 2015 is a date that will forever be remembered by the Williamstown Lady Demons and their fans with two players scoring their 1,000th points just minutes apart in a win that gives the program its first 2-0 start in at least 20 years.
Demons open season in style with win

Playing in front of the home crowd to open the season, the Williamstown boys' basketball team understood the importance of getting off to a good start and setting the tone for the rest of the year. And the Demons delievered with an impressive 75-52 win over visiting Eminence.

Maturing Demons finish season strong

Coming into the season as one of the youngest teams in the region, the Williamstown Demons suffered plenty of growing pains during the season. But Williamstown also did a lot of growing up over the last three months, which was evident by its performance down the stretch.
Montgomery's work ethic pays off for WHS

Most players take years to establish themselves as a solid contributor at the varsity level. But not Williamstown's Rachel Montgomery. Wasting no time in making a name for herself on the hardwood, she set the school's single-game record for assists in her first varsity start as an eighth-grader and has been a leader for the Lady Demons ever since.

Looking for another scoring option to compliment one of the best guard combos in the 8th Region, Williamstown Coach Roger Harden may have found it on Tuesday. Junior center Carter Sarcione exploded for 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way for Williamstown in the 77-53 win.
Kennedy hits game-winner versus Carroll

Playing with the poise of a much older player, sophomore Michaela Kennedy took the Williamstown Lady Demons and put them on her back in the closing moments of a thrilling victory over Carroll Co. Kennedy scored her team's final four points, including the game-winner with 4.6 seconds left.
Olivia Souder stars in win over Owen Co.

Just one rebound shy of a double-double, sophomore Olivia Souder scored 19 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead Williamstown past Owen Co. Souder hit 63 percent of her shots in the game, connecting on 7-of-11 from the field, including three-of-five from 3-point range.
Demons get back in win column vs Dayton

Connecting on 12 shots from 3-point range and putting up the third most points they have scored this season, the Williamstown Demons got back into the win column on Friday with a 77-62 victory over Dayton. Williamstown had four players reach double digits in the win.
Improvements obvious for WHS Demons

Signs of improvement are not always visible in won-loss records. This is certainly true for the WHS Demons. While the wins do not match the effort or performance, obvious improvements are being made. Evidence of such can be found in the Demons' four most recent games.
Lady Demons dominate in All A opener

One down, two to go. Winning the regional All A Classic has been a goal of the Williamstown Lady Demons since before the season started. They took the first step in making that goal a reality on Monday with a dominating 65-21 win over Eminence at Trimble Co. High School.
WHS ladies win for fifth time in last six

The Williamstown Lady Demons picked up in 2015 where they left off in 2014 with a dominating 53-33 win over Henry County on. The victory upped Williamstown's record to 7-4 overall with five wins in their last six games, making them one of the 8th Region's hottest teams.
WHS Lady Demons finish 2014 strong

The Williamstown Lady Demons closed out 2014 strong with a pair of wins and a third-place finish in the NAS Holiday Classic at Carroll Co. High School. Williamstown ended the year as one of the 8th Region's best with a record of 6-4, which included four wins in the Lady Demons' last five games.

Ranking among the team leaders a year ago, WHS' Katie Cheek was already recognized as a standout on the hardwood. So it would have been easy for her to relax during the off-season. But the junior guard was having none of that and spent the summer perfecting her game.
