Paced by Chase Good's 16 points, three players scored in double digits to lead the Williamstown Demons to a dominating 58-24 win over Covington Latin in junior varsity action.

Chase Good scored points in all four quarters for the winners, including a 3-pointer in both the first and third periods.

 

Brothers Brady and Bryce Montgomery also both reached double digits for the Demons, with Brady hitting for 13 and Bryce 10. Brady, who scored 11 of his 13 in the first half, scored eight in the second period. He hit two shots from behind the 3-point arch. Bryce also scored eight in the second period as the two siblings combined for 16 in the eight minute span.

 

Trace Good and Chance Jordan were next for the winners with five points each, followed by Ben McClelland with four, and Landon Hare and Walker Angell with two apiece.

 

Williamstown was strong out of the gates and led from beginning to end. The Demons were up 13-5 after one quarter and 37-9 at the half. The host team then outscored Covington Latin 13-7 in the third quarter and 7-6 in the fourth to finish off the visitors.

Williamstown was not as fortunate in its season-opener, falling 55-41 at Eminence.

 

The Demons fell behind early and trailed by double digits in the first quarter, a lead they were never able to come back from. 

 

Brady Montgomery led the Williamstown offensive attack with 15 points, followed by David Burton with 12.

 

Bryce Montgomery added six for the Demons, followed by Chase Good with four, Landon Hare with three, and Chance Jordan with one.
