WHS freshman Brennan Stanley named NCKC Player of the Week

Freshman point guard Brennan Stanley (2) has done nothing this season to tarnish his reputation as one of the region's top talents, winning the NCKC Player of the Week honors with a 31-point, 8-assist performance vs Trimble.

Staff Report

Already well known around the region, Williamstown High School's Brennan Stanley continues to make a name for himself with outstanding play on the basketball court.

Invited to the prestigious NBPA Top 100 Midwest Region Basketball Camp held in Louisville and hosted by John Lucas during the summer, the freshman point guard came into the season as one of the top underclassmen in the region.

And he has done nothing but add to that reputation with outstanding play night in and night out for the Demons, including a 31-point performance against Trimble Co. last week, which earned him the NCKC Player of the Week honors.

Stanley added eight assists, four rebounds and three steals to go with his 31 points against Trimble. He hit seven 3-pointers in the game.

In Williamstown's only game since Trimble Co., Stanley continued to impress with a 20-point performance that included five 3-pointers.

Stanley and his Williamstown teammates will be back in action on January 20 at home against district power Simon Kenton and on January 23 at home against Dayton.
