Staff Report

Touted as a premium scorer by his coach coming into the season, Williamstown's Jon Jump has not disappointed.

Despite being someone that opposing teams have focused on defensively, the sophomore guard has consistently performed at a high level all season long and is continuing to make a name for himself not just locally, but everywhere the Demons play.

Jump was recently named to All-Tournament teams at the Mingua Beef Jerky Hoopfest held in late December in Paris, Kentucky, and earning the same honors at the Buckeye-Bluegrass Shootout in Mason, Ohio.

In three games in the Mingua Hoopfest, Jump totaled 39 points, hitting 10 3-pointers in the process, with 15 rebounds, 12 assists and nine steals. His best game of the tourney was a 20-point, five rebound performance that included four assists and three steals.

In the Buckeye-Bluegrass Shootout, Jump had a high of 26 points to go with five rebounds, four assists and three steals in a win over Calvary Christian. For the two-game event, Jump scored a total of 43 points, hitting five 3-pointers in the process, to go with 10 rebounds, eight assists and six steals.
