Taylor's 13, Chambers' 12 power JV Lady Demons past Carroll Co., 38-27

Locked in a close battle late in the third period, the Williamstown Lady Demons outscored Carroll Co. 16-7 over the final seven minutes for a 38-27 win in junior varsity action Tuesday.

 

Sophomore Sydney Taylor led the Lady Demons' offense with 13 points, including five in the final period.

 

Eighth-grader Justice Chambers was next for the winners with 12 points, including six in the final six minutes and 10 in the second half.

 

Haley Howe added nine points to the Lady Demons' offensive total, followed by Megan Perkins with four.

In a game previously unreported, Williamstown put up a good fight, but came up short on the road at Walton-Verona.

 

Haley Howe dominated for the Lady Demons with 17 points. Emily Ison was next with five.

 

Justice Chambers added four for Williamstown, followed by Kelsi Jordan with three, and Megan Perkins and Lynzie Cheek with two each.
